I can name maybe five books that have literally changed my life. One of them is called The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace D. Wattles. It is a slender volume written almost 100 years ago upon which The Secret was based. It came into my life at a time when I was finally ready to heed its simple, yet profound, message that we create our own realities.
Little
by little, however, the Law of Attraction, which is what The Science of Getting Rich and The Secret are all about, began to
infiltrate my life. It started with The Secret. Then I was introduced to
another inspiring book, Ask
and It Is Given, by Esther and Jerry Hicks. The basic philosophy, so
simple, yet one I could spend a lifetime studying, suggests that we create our own
reality, both good and bad, and that we attract
into our lives that which we think about.
How
does all this relate to how The Science
of Getting Rich changed my life? Well, not too long ago, I had to work
really hard all the time and always seemed to be a paycheck away from living on
the streets. Although I had a lot to be grateful for, I was pretty miserable. No
matter how hard I tried, I could never seem to get ahead. Today, as a result of
applying the principles I learned
from people like Wattles and success coach Bob Proctor, who has been helping
people achieve their dreams for 40 years, and by surrounding myself with
positive, like-minded people, my life is completely different. I run my own
business. I get to do work that I love. I have fulfilling relationships that
have expanded every aspect of my life in ways I never thought possible even just
a few years ago. I live an abundant life free from financial insecurity.
But
how does it work? In the words of Wattles, it is all about learning how to do
things in the "certain way” to create wealth—or anything else one desires: The ownership of money and property comes as a result of doing things in a certain way. Those who do things in this certain way, whether on purpose or accidentally, get rich. Those who do not do things in this certain way, no matter how hard they work or how able they are, remain poor. It is a natural law that like causes always produce like effects. Therefore, any man or woman who learns to do things in this certain way will infallibly get rich.
The
success of this program is built on several rock-solid foundations. These
factors include the phenomenal success of The Secret, the timeless concepts
from The Science of Getting Rich, the
credibility of the most highly successful personal improvement teachers and New
Thought leaders of our time, and the internet as the distribution medium.
I
have participated in two of Mr. Proctor’s programs on my way to financial
freedom. When applied thoroughly and consistently, his methods show prodigious
results. I live a life that grows more abundant every day. |
